The Magic Summer Tour is a 1990-1992 concert tour by New Kids on the Block to promote their 1990 album Step by Step . Covering a hundred cities in North America and Europe, it lasted from 25 April 1990 to 17 February 1992. It was sponsored by Coca-Cola and tied into its 90th "Magic Magic" campaign that included the infamous MagiCan failure. At that time, it was the second best-selling tour ever in North America, behind only The Rolling Stones's 1989 Steel Wheels Tour. The Magic Summer Tour had a presence of 3,291,987 fans in 1990, even defeating The Rolling Stones, whose 1990 tour had an overall attendance of 3,253,563 people. When it continued into 1991, it was titled No More Game Tour to utilize the No More Games/The Remix Band album release.
The tour was commercially successful, with a grossed $ 74 million ($ 133 million, adjusted for inflation), making it the best-selling tour of the decade. During the "Hangin 'Tough" encore show at the end of the second concert held at Saratoga Springs on June 25, Donnie Wahlberg fell through a trap door as he jumped off the raised platform. She received scratches and bruises on her chest, neck, and arms. After being hospitalized for one night, he spent a week recovering, and the rest of the band went on to the next few concerts as a four-piece action.
