Plot

Flint Lockwood is a wannabe scientist living in Swallow Falls, a small island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean that has sardines as its economic base. Flint lives with Tim, his widowed tekophobe dad, and his pet monkey, Steve. Despite Flint's excited enthusiasm, his inventions, including spray boots, remotely controlled televisions, mouse birds, hair-not-balder, and flying cars, all ended in failure.

Flint then created a machine that turns water into food, called "Flint Lockwood Diatonic Super Mutating Dynamic Food Replicator" (FLDSMDFR). Flint lit FLDSMDFR in his laboratory, but ultimately weighed on the home electricity supply. He then decided to start the engine by connecting it to the nearest power plant. When he turned the engine back on, it finally skyrocketed through the city, destroying Sardine Land (the park the mayor considers to boost tourism) before finally shooting at the sky. Recovering from his failure, Flint meets Samantha "Sam" Sparks, a weather intern who breaks big breakthrough thanks to his actions. Their conversation broke off as rainbow-colored clouds hovered over the city and started pouring on cheeseburgers.

The city is delighted with their updated food choices, and Flint creates communication devices to deliver orders to machines and order them to create different kinds of food. Swallow Falls (now renamed Chewandswallow) suddenly became a successful destination of "food tourism". Everything went smoothly until the townspeople began greedily asking for food from the Flint machine. Flint saw that the food began to grow larger in size. Although he was concerned that the food was beginning to "more mutate", the now unhealthy mayor thought it was auspicious for him and the town, and the Flint guints kept making food rains.

Locals and worldly tourists in Chewandswallow are happy until suddenly a huge tornado formed from spaghetti and meatballs threatens the city. Flint rushes to the lab to turn off FLDSMDFR and tries to send a "kill code" to stop the machine, but the mayor, while trying to stop him by throwing a giant turnip at him, accidentally destroys the communication device. With Flint unable to control the engine, a huge food storm is created that threatens the world. When Flint's father encouraged him to fix the mess, Flint gained confidence, put the killing code in a USB flash drive, and built a new flying car to reach and disable FLDSMDFR, with the help of Sam, his cameraman Manny, Steve and Brent (the name of Baby Brent Sardine ).

As they approached the machine in the sky, they found that it was now the core of a giant meatball, where the clouds go up and the food storms come out of the base. Machines deliver live food to attack them. In chaos, a flash drive with a kill code is sucked by the wind out the window.

Back at Chewandswallow, residents and tourists fled while the last meal fell. Mt. The remains of food collapsed, causing an avalanche of food that devastated the city. Although avalanche hit Flint's Lab, Tim successfully reset the kill code to the Flint phone from there. Flint then goes into the meatball, finds the machine, and connects the phone to the port. To his dismay, Flint discovers that Tim sent him the wrong file, so he can not stop FLDSMDFR. Flint then got the idea and used his Spray-On Shoes formula on the machine, causing it to explode. With the engine destroyed, the food storm subsided and everyone can return safely to Chewandswallow. The team finally showed his appreciation for his son and his invention before Flint and Sam celebrated with a kiss. Meanwhile, the fat mayor is seen stranded in the middle of the sea, after eating almost all the peanut butter and jelly sandwich, while mumbling that his plan is not well thought out.
