Alexander Brown Mackie (May 1, 1894 - June 5, 1966) is a college professor, founder of business college, and a college sports coach.

Mackie is co-founder of Brown Mackie College in Salina, Kansas. He and Perry E. Brown set up the school as a business college, taking what is part of the Kansas Wesleyan business school. The school operates today with campuses in many locations throughout the United States.
Before moving to Salina and Kansas Wesleyan, Mackie was a student at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio.

Mackie played football for Dickinson Seminary in Williamsport, Pennsylvania for the 1913 season.

Mackie is the ninth head of the football coach for Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina, Kansas, serving for 17 seasons, from 1921 to 1937, set a 73-40-1 record.
The Mackie team of 1922 is considered "not to have great strength" by football legend Walter Camp. As he spent more time with the program, his team experienced more success. Mackie's team won the Athletic Kansas Collegiate Conference championship five times during his tenure. Mid-season 1931, his team is one of the few unbeaten teams in the country.
