History
Richmond Baseball Club was founded as Fulham Flames by youth worker Wayne Nash in 1992 after he watched a baseball film in a local cinema and became very interested in this sport. Originally consisting of only one team, the club has grown, adding a second team; Knight in 2000 and third team; Dragons in 2003. The development team has been added to the club list as needed and in 2012 the club added Duke as the rookie/single A team in the BBF league.
As players and coaches leave the top team, the Richmond Flames, the National League mainstay, and many champions, are withdrawn from the National Baseball League in 2012, but the club forms an official affiliation with Southern Nationals, three-time National League champions in 2014.

Facilities
The club played its home game at Connare Field in Richmond, named after Vincent Connare's player who helped build and fund the field in 2002 when the club wanted to upgrade its facilities to match the BBF National League standard. The club also has a second diamond in nearby Ham Lands, dubbed Flood Field because of its proximity to the Thames.
Along with the Kew and Ham Football Association, RBSC also shares the clubhouse with several dressing rooms, a full bar and kitchen and a lounge with wi-fi and TV.
Connare Field has been completely refurbished in 2014 thanks to a grant from the UK Sport Club Inspired Facility fund. A new double hit cage is also installed, improving play facilities. The club is looking to further improve play facilities by adding break room and audience seating.
Awards
Flames became the 2006 National Champion by beating the Croydon Pirates two games to one in the final. The Flames then finished runners in 2008 and again in 2009 before regaining the National League title in 2010 with a 10-1 victory over Bracknell Blazers.
The farm teams of Richmond Knights and Richmond Dragons have had a successful season, especially the Knights 20-19 Knights marathon of Leicester Blue Sox at the 2010 BBF AA Championship Game and the Dragons winner in Single A in 2010.
After promoting the Knights to AAA and Dragons to AA in 2011, the club added a new Single A team aimed at the rookies; Richmond Dukes, named after local history and field location on Dukes Avenue/Riverside Drive.
In 2013, only the second year of existence for Dukes, they overcame a slow start to win the A Singles National Championship.
