East 2017's Basketball Tournament is a postseason tournament basketball tournament for the Big East Conference. It was held from 8 March to 11 March 2017 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The championship was won by Villanova who beat Creighton in the championship game. The tournament victory was Villanova's third and second tournament championship in three years earlier. As a result, Villanova accepts an auto conference offer to the NCAA Tournament.

Seeds
All 10 Great Eastern schools participated in the tournament. The teams are sown by conference records with solving procedures to determine the seeds for teams with identical conference records. The top six teams receive a first-round bye. The nursery for the tournament is determined at the close of the regular conference season.
