Histori
The Santa Fe Catholic High School, an educational institution in the diocese of Orlando, was established in 1960 and officially opened on 5 September 1961, as the Central Catholic High School. Classes are held for 50 students in grades nine and ten in the administration building at Lodwick Airport, now known as Tigertown. In 1962, the bishop of St. Augustine Joseph P. Hurley presents school classes for the first time in the administration building now. A few months later, the name was changed to the Santa Fe Catholic High School. In 1964, Santa Fe had its first graduation class, organization of the football team and the establishment of the National Honor Society.
Faced with increased registration, the government organized a development fund in 1969 to raise money for the addition to Santa Fe. The McDonald House was ordained in 1969. In 1970, the school became the venue for a new gymnasium. In 1972, Monsignor Martin Power, Saint Joseph's Priest in Lakeland, died, and Pastor Patrick Sheedy, the new Priest, raised money for Martin Power Center. The new center began in January 1973.
