Campus
Roxbury High School consists of a rectangular building with various wings. The school only has a window on the front of the building, which faces northwest. This was done to save energy costs, because the school was built at the beginning of the 1973 energy crisis. In 2003 a referendum was passed to add a music suite and exercise room/athletic training room to the original facility. The school shared Bryant Drive with the nearby Eisenhower High School. Behind the school there is an athletic field, including tracks and soccer fields. A forested area is also used for the "Project Adventure" program (which includes various types of climbing activities and building trust for new students).

One of the most intense rivalries in the state began in 1965 against Randolph High School. Some of the more interesting contests were Randolph's 7-0 victory in 1987 ahead of 10,000 men and 6-6 ties in 1991 which ended Randolph's 200th successive win. The series is currently 26-18-2 in favor of Randolph, with Roxbury's last victory in the series coming with 13-7 in 2012.

The 2009 team soared to an early 8-0, quickly winning the Northern Division Championship-Winter Athletic Conference. After two winning votes to start the '09 postseason, Roxbury faced the East Orange Campus High School in the state sectional championship, playing at the Giants Stadium, winning 14-6 thrillers and grabbing the fifth state title in school history, and setting school records to win in one season with 11.

However, 1995 marked the first major victory in program history, a 7-6 victory over state champion Kinnelon High School. The following season marked two new breakthroughs for Roxbury: winning the first Morris County Tournament match and making the New Jersey state tournament.
