Outsourced is an American television sitcom placed in Indian workplace. It's based on a movie of the same name and adapted by Robert Borden for Universal Media Studios and NBC. The series originally runs from September 23, 2010 to May 12, 2011. The event was officially picked up by NBC on May 7, 2010 and on October 18, 2010, the event received full season orders. Outsourced was filmed at Radford Studios in Studio City, Los Angeles, California.

When an event update is not published with other NBC event updates, players and crews start a campaign for event fans to request updates. On May 13, 2011, NBC announced that Outsourced was canceled after one season.

Outsourced is set up at a call center in Mumbai, India, where a new American company recently outsourced order processing. The only American who runs a call center and must explain American popular culture to his employees as he tries to understand Indian culture.

The event received mixed reviews, reaching 46 out of 100 on metacritic reviewers. Another gatherer, Rotten Tomatoes, gave a 21% rating based on 14 reviews, with a critical consensus, "Cultural sitcoms-this clash is too mired in unkind jokes and stereotypical characters to bring a lot of insight into the global marketplace." Joel Keller of TV Squad in the pilot episode review stated, "During the show can test cultural differences, show how all offices are the same wherever they are, and away from easy jokes, NBC can have another Thursday comedy hit." Alessandra Stanley from The New York Times stated "The fact that it is not embarrassing or very offensive - so rolling, the show is actually quite captivating - is a compliment to the performers and writers." Critics like blogger Mikey O'Connell have accused Outsourced as a racist. Matt Rouse of the TV Guide writes, "The clash premise tradition immerses itself in a caricature gutter and silly jokes".
