The North Dakota Fighting Hawks basketball team represents NCAA Division I basketball from the University of North Dakota. The Fighting Hawks is a member of the Big Sky Conference. Prior to membership in the Big Sky Conference, they were members of the North Central Division II Conference and Division I Great West Conference. The current head coach is Brian Jones.
The 2017-18 season will be the last one for North Dakota as a full member of Big Sky. On July 1, 2018, the school will join the League Summit in all sports except football, where he will remain a member of Big Sky before joining the Missouri Valley Football Conference in 2020.
