Hellinikon Stadium - Wikipedia

Hellinikon Stadium is a stadium located at the Hellinikon Olympic Complex in Hellinikon, Athens, located about 8 kilometers south of central Athens, near Glyfada on the Aegean coast. Ethnikos Piraeus F.C. currently playing his home game there.

The complex was built at the site of the former Hellinikon International Airport for the 2004 Summer Olympics and the 2004 Summer Paralympics and consists of the following places: Hellinikon Indoor Arena (Basketball and team); Hellinikon Fencing Hall; Olympic Hockey Stadium (Field Hockey); Helliniko Baseball Center; Hellinikon Olympic Softball Stadium; and Hellinikon Slalom Center (Whitewater slalom).

The main Olympic Baseball Center stadium underwent renovations for football use, and Ethnikos started playing matches there during the 2007-08 season; the team played its first official match at his new home on October 20, 2007. The facility is known as Hellinikon Stadium, and is often referred to as Helliniko .

The complex also includes new training ground for first team and junior teams of Ethnikos.

Ahead of the 2008-09 season renovation continues and seating capacity increases to 10,000.

Currently used as a refugee camp for those awaiting processing in Greece.
