Plot
Eleven-year-old Randy Daytona became anxious when she learned that her father, Peter, was betting on her performance at the 1988 Summer Olympics table final. During her first match between her opponent Karl Wolfschtagg of the Democratic Republic of Germany, Daytona crashed and suffered an injury. Unable to continue, he lost the match. The loan sharks, using Feng's masterminds, killed his father, and Daytona left the ping-pong rivalry.
Nineteen years later, Daytona was dismissed from the Peppermill casino and met FBI agent Ernie Rodriguez, who requested his help in arresting Feng for running a weapon. The hidden forest hideaway Feng hosts the Ping-Pong black market tournament, and Daytona's invitation is a way for the FBI to infiltrate Feng's organization. When Daytona agreed, Rodriguez told him to win enough championships that Feng's scouts paid attention to him. After losing the local tournament, Daytona apprenticed to a blind man in Chinatown named Wong, who is a former mentor of Feng. Daytona also met Wong's niece, Maggie. When the locals spoiled Master Wong's house for violating their orders against teaching white pingpong people, Daytona was forced to play against "The Dragon", a young girl, in exchange for Wong's right to stay. After Daytona defeated the Dragon, the Feng people noticed his victory and brought Daytona, Rodriguez, and Wong to Feng's facility.
Daytona easily defeated his first opponent, Freddy "Fingers" Wilson, though he was afraid to learn that this tournament was completely dead-dead - losers were killed by a poisoned arrow delivered by majordomo Feng, Mahogany. After Daytona's attempts fail to escape, Feng invites him to join his team and reveals that he only completed half of Wong's training. He said it would be the ultimate satisfaction to win Daytona from Wong. Feng also showed Daytona his specially modified ping-pong table. It's paired to a special vest that provides an electric shock that is getting stronger and fatal for failure. Daytona told Rodriguez about the hidden cache of illegal weapons enough to put Feng in jail. While Rodriguez investigates hidden facilities, Daytona defeated many opponents for his life.
Upon learning that Wolfschtagg was his last opponent, Daytona asked for the extraction. Rodriguez came up with a plan to bruise Daytona brutally, so he had to stop. Rodriguez destroys Daytona's arm before Daytona can tell him that he has changed his mind. Feng found Rodriguez's attempts to contact the FBI and forced Daytona to face Wolfschtagg, then succeeded Maggie. When Wolfschtagg protested, Feng killed him. Daytona played one hand and tried to gain time. Maggie tried to lose in order to sacrifice herself. However, Daytona uses his ping-pong skills to hit Maggie with the ball. While this took place, they escaped together. Angry, Feng orders them both to be executed. Mahoni shot a poisoned arrow in Daytona, but Maggie defended him with a ping-pong paddle. Daytona then throws a poisoned paddle back to Mahogany, killing him. The FBI swarmed around the place, where the heroes tried to escape, but Daytona's attempts to save Master's sex slaves caused their arrest. Feng plays Daytona to determine which Wong students are the superior pingpong players.
During the game, the self-destruct order facility is activated, and Feng reveals no off-switch. He also stated that he changed the rules so the ball could now bounce off the surface once and still in the game. As the countdown of the sequence of destruction itself continues, the game moves through several buildings and eventually to the bridge over the nearby river. After Wong informs Daytona that Feng has a weak backhand, Daytona exploits his weakness, and Feng is electrocuted, falling into the river. Daytona and his friends, along with slave Feng, fled with Wong's boat. Two months later, the main figures were reunited to reopen the Mushu shop rebuilt by Master Wong.
