Votes are tools used to vote in elections, and may be a piece of paper or a small ball used in secret ballot. Initially a small ball (see black ball) is used to record the decisions made by voters.
Each voter uses a single ballot, and the ballots are not shared. In the simplest election, voting may be a simple piece of paper in which every voter writes on behalf of a candidate, but the government election uses a printed ballot to protect the secrecy of the vote. Voters cast their votes in a box at the polls.
In English English, this is usually called " sound papers ". The word ballot is used for the selection process within an organization (such as the union "holding the ballots" of its members).

Type of polling system
Depending on the type of voting system used in the election, different ballots can be used. The ballot ratings enable voters to rank candidates based on their preferences, while the first-past-the-post ballots only allow voters to select one candidate for each position. In party list systems, lists can be opened or closed.
